Delivery

From the warehouse to your port, or your door

Fabric is consolidated in Shenzhen or Shanghai and shipped by sea, air or express, quoted against the trade term your order is written on. Transit times below are typical and subject to confirmation.

Logistics coordination

Freight coordination, and two warehouses

Our logistics team can coordinate your shipments, or you can nominate your own forwarder — both are normal.

Coordination
Our logistics team can coordinate your shipments, or you can nominate your own forwarder — both are normal.
What that means for you
Freight is costed and booked by people who move fabric, not general cargo: roll dimensions, pallet heights, moisture protection and consolidation all affect what you pay.
Trade terms
EXW, FOB, CIF and DDP can all be quoted. Tell us which term your purchase order is written on, or ask us to compare two.
Booking
You can nominate your own forwarder, or ask us to quote and arrange the shipment. Both are normal.

Shenzhen warehouse

The southern consolidation point, close to the Pearl River Delta ports. Used for lots that ship out of South China or combine with other cargo.

Shanghai warehouse

The eastern consolidation point, and the default for goods moving through Shanghai. Both warehouses can feed one shipment.

Consolidation is the point of running two: several articles, colours or orders can leave as one shipment instead of several, which is usually cheaper and always less paperwork.

Transport modes

Sea, air or express — chosen against the delivery window

The right mode is decided by when the goods are needed, not by habit. Cost per kilogram or cubic metre falls the slower the mode.

Full container loads and consolidated lots

Sea freight

The default for bulk. Cost per cubic metre is the lowest, transit is measured in weeks, and it suits planned replenishment where the delivery window has some room in it.

Urgent lots, sample rolls and top-ups

Air freight

Used when the shipment has to arrive before a cut-off: a late bulk lot, a top-up before a production start, or a pre-production sample that cannot wait. Priced by chargeable weight.

A4 swatches, lab dips and small sample parcels

Express

For swatches, strike-offs and small sample parcels that clear as documents-level shipments. Fastest door to door, highest cost per kilogram.

Transit

What to expect, and what we will not promise

Transit depends on the destination, the routing, the sailing or flight schedule and how long clearance takes. We confirm the expected window when we quote, per shipment.

Typical transit, subject to confirmation
ModeBasisWhat drives it
Sea freightTypical transitSeveral weeks port to port, depending on the destination, the routing and the sailing schedule.
Air freightTypical transitDays rather than weeks, depending on the destination, flight availability and clearance.
ExpressTypical transitThe shortest of the three, counted in working days door to door.
DDP deliveryTypical transitLonger than port-to-port sea freight, because duties and clearance are completed before delivery.

Typical transit times are indicative and subject to confirmation. They are not a guaranteed delivery date, and we do not publish fixed lead times.

Delivery terms

Port to port, or all the way to the door

The same shipment can be quoted on four trade terms. Which one you want decides where our responsibility stops and yours starts.

EXW

Collected from our warehouse. You arrange inland haulage, export clearance and freight.

FOB

Loaded on board at the port of loading. We handle export clearance and the move to the port.

CIF

Freight and insurance paid to your destination port. Import clearance stays with you.

DDP

Duty paid, customs cleared and delivered to your address. Available for destinations in 200+ countries.

Duty-paid delivery to the door removes the customs process from your side. Coverage runs to 200+ countries. SeeDDP delivery for what it covers and what we need to quote it.
Next step

Tell us the destination and the delivery window

Send the destination port or city, the volume and the date the goods are needed, and we will confirm the mode, the cost and the expected transit for that shipment.

Transit times and rates are confirmed per shipment, not published as fixed lead times.
