A first reply inside one working hour
Send the specification you have — a full tech pack is not required. Someone who quotes fabric reads it and gives a first reply within one working hour on business days, with what is workable and what is not. Formal quotations follow once the requirement and supply conditions are verified.
Exactly what the quotation contains
A quote is only useful if you can put it next to another supplier's offer and compare. These are the lines it carries.
- Article
- The code we are quoting, or the construction we opened for you if there is no code yet.
- Composition
- The full composition, not a short label — for example 65% polyester / 35% viscose, or 100% cotton.
- Weight
- Grams per square metre for woven, and the same unit carried through from quote to shipment so nothing drifts.
- Width
- Usable width. If your marker needs a specific width, say so and we quote against it.
- Price basis
- Unit price with the stated Incoterm and currency, so you can compare it against your other offers directly.
- Minimum
- The minimum for that article and colour, in metres for woven and kilograms for knit.
- Lead time
- Time to produce and time to ship, counted separately.
- Sampling route
- Whether a lab dip, handloom and development sample are needed before bulk is opened.
Minimums and lead times are usual values for the article and are confirmed per order, subject to confirmation at the time the order is placed.
Validity is set per order, not by a fixed number of days
We do not publish a standard validity period, because it would be a promise we could not keep on every article.
Validity is written into the quotation
How long a price holds is decided per order by the article, the quantity and the upstream price-lock conditions at the time, and the resulting period is stated in the quotation itself. Read that line before you plan around the number.
Yarn and greige availability, finishing capacity and fibre prices all move. Long-validity pricing on a moving market is either a guess or a risk premium. We would rather tell you the period we can stand behind.
FX, freight and fuel surcharges
On new orders the quotation also states the validity of the exchange rate, of the freight rate and of any fuel surcharge. Those three move independently of the fabric price, so they are shown separately instead of being buried inside a landed figure you cannot check.
Where a shipment is quoted on a delivered basis, this is what keeps the number honest: you can see which part is cloth, which part is transport, and which part is the currency.
Payment terms are agreed per order
They are not published on this site and not quoted by default.
Payment terms depend on the article, the order value, the destination and how long we have been working together, so they are settled between your commercial contact and ours for each order. Nothing on this page should be read as a standing term.
Ask when you request the quote and the terms relevant to that order are put in writing with the offer.
Price is useful. Cloth in hand is better.
An A4 swatch of the article you are considering is free; the courier is charged to your own account. It arrives before the order does, which is the point.
