Where this cloth is worked

End uses we develop this construction for. Each one explains what the garment needs from the cloth:

T-shirts and tops

Fine 50s single jersey in liquid-ammonia mercerised cotton — a light, cool cloth for summer tops.

Mercerising is what makes a 100 g/m² jersey usable at this weight: the surface comes up cleaner and the cloth holds its shape better than an unmercerised single jersey of the same count.

What to fix with the quotation:

  • Shade after wash. Lightweight cotton knits move in the first wash; agree the shrinkage window and whether the garment is cut before or after washing.
  • Width and yield. Width is confirmed per order — a light jersey is bought by weight but cut by width, so both numbers belong in the quotation.
  • Finish route. The mercerised route is named on the order so the hand does not drift between lots.

This is a swatch-first article. Request an A4 sample to judge the hand at 100 g/m² before a colourway is committed.

Values are the ranges we work in and are confirmed per order. Nothing on this page is a stock promise: availability, colour and delivery are checked against the specific requirement.

Before bulk

What gets confirmed in writing

We quote and weave against a confirmed requirement, not against a stock promise. These six points are fixed on the order before any yarn is committed — ask for them in the quotation so nothing is decided by habit later.

Colour and lab dip
Shade is approved on a physical dip against your reference, in the light you will inspect under. Screen colour is never the approval.
Width and weight
Cuttable width and finished weight are fixed against the approved sample, not against a catalogue sheet.
Finish and hand
Mercerised, brushed, washed or compacted — the finish route is named in the order so the hand cannot drift between lots.
Testing
The test list you need for your market is agreed up front (shrinkage, colourfastness, pilling, composition). Reports follow the bulk, not the sample.
Packing and labelling
Roll length, tube, bagging and shipping marks are confirmed with the order so the goods arrive in the form your factory can cut.
Quantity and programme
Metres or kilos per colour, the delivery window and whether the article repeats are agreed before the loom is scheduled.

A4 swatches are sent before bulk so shade, hand and weight are judged from cloth rather than a screen —request a sample, or send the requirement straight through thequotation form.
